Cottage Weekend with The Boys

Ok finally a new post. Last weekend (Sept 29-Oct 1) I was at my cousin Jer's cottage with Jeff, my cousin's Matt and Jer, and a buddy of ours Nick.

We all met at Jer's house at 6:00 Friday night and loaded all our stuff in the back of Jeff's truck and headed out. It's about 2.5 hours to the cottage ,which is in Bracebridge, so we HAD to stop for a bite to eat at McDonald's (not exactly my favorite place to eat but food is food) after a huge meal we left and in the parking lot we saw a HUGE dog, it was a St. Binard, the thing was sooooo big it took up the whole back seat of the peoples ca, and to add to the humour the people actually bought the dog hamburgers.. LOL.

K so back on the road we we finally finally made it to the cottage and unpacked, then lit the fireplace because it was rather cold inside. After that was done we ran down to the dock because we found out that the dock came loose and the boat floated over to the cottage beside Jer's. So Jer and Nick jumped in the canoe and paddled over to it and jer jumped in to steer it while nicked pulled him back with the canoe..... so Nick paddled and paddled and paddled and couldn't pull him by himself, so he came to pick up Matt. Once they returned to the boat Jer pointed out that the boat had been tide to the neighbours dock the whole time, We laughed sooooo hard.

Now that the boat was safe and sound we went up and lit the campfire out-side and talked/ told jokes and stories until 2:00, by then i was pretty much ready to go to bed.

After a good breakfast of pancakes we all went to the lake to go skiing. The lake was very very cold for the guy's because they only had their shorty wetsuits, but I took my diving wet suit so I was actually really warm, I bugged them about it because they were still cold.. hahaha.

Ahhhh Lunch.. for lunch we had hotdogs and we all ate at least four , we did the dishes(by hand) and then watched a movie because it was raining. After that movie we were all sleeping except Jer, and he woke us up so that we could go for a slow ride around the lake... After the ride we cooked supper which was salad, BBQed peppers, and potatoes. After that we watched another movie and went to bed at 1:00.

Sunday Morning we woke up to bacon and eggs, ate, did the dishes, and listened to a sermon. After that was done we went skiing again... ate Lunch mmmmm Burgers, and took the boat and dock out of the lake, cleaned the cottage and went home.....
